Pinot Gris from the Awatere Valley sub-region of Marlborough. Beautiful country up that way. As indeed can be said of the whole region. The has a sweet gewurz-like edge to it. Flavours of lychee and Turkish delight make a clear impression. It’s otherwise all apples, spice and melon. Quite full-bodied, as a gris should be. Fruit sweetness here will either attract or repel, depending on your preference. Best served well chilled.
